Event: US State Department- Outer Space Affairs

Dr Scott Firsing was honored to speak at a roundtable in May 2025 on “American Prosperity and Leadership in Space,” hosted by the U.S. State Department’s Office of Space Affairs. It was a vital discussion for our nation’s future.

They discussed strengthening collaboration between the U.S. Government, global partners, and the commercial space industry to develop international best practices, including at the UN level. The group explored ways to enhance information sharing between industry and the Department of State to advance space diplomacy while sharing insights on how U.S. and foreign commercial actors can expand space access for emerging nations and boost economic prosperity.

Dr. Scott was proud to represent Texas and talk about the plethora of space activities taking place around our great State and the connections we are making around the world.
